The widely watched ad scoring system ranked O.C.-based TV maker Vizio’s ad about the smarts of its products’ owners as the big game’s worst of the 50 ads ranked.
Next-to-worst was O.C.-based automaker Hyundai Motor’s ad for its plans that lets buyers return a new car if they lose a job.
Third from worst was an Hyundai ad showing competitors jealous of its award-winning Genesis model.
Ranking 30th out of 50 was Irvine-based Taco Bell. It’s ad featured a guy wooing a girl with a value meal.
Best of the bunch, according to USA Today’s math, was a Doritos commercial about a “magical” crystal ball! Second-ranked ad was beer maker Budweiser’s circus ad.
