Chris Forsberg (born April 6, 1982), is an American self-taught drifting driver from Doylestown, Pennsylvania who currently competes in the Formula Drift series in his Nissan 350Z for NOS Energy Drink and Maxxis Tires. Chris noticed his love for speed and competition at the age of six, racing bicycles with his brother. He became interested in cars at the age of ten while attending drag racing events with his uncles at Maple Grove Raceway Park in Pennsylvania. He was then introduced to flat track motorcycle racing while watching his cousin slide around the track. This is what planted the seed for sliding things around.

At fourteen he used to take out the family tractor, get it into third gear and slam on the brakes which made it slide around the yard. When he became old enough to drive he would borrow a friend's MKIII Supra and drift it around a cone course he set up in a parking lot. This passion lead him to watching Intital D and Option Videos, which influenced him to sell his truck and purchase his first car, a 1988 Mazda RX-7. After buying the RX-7 Chris became heavily involved in the east coast drifting scene. By the age of twenty he helped run the first regularly schedule East Coast Drift events. He was twenty-one when D1 announced they were coming to America for a drivers search so he packed up his RX-7 on a flatbed rental truck and drove 3,000 miles to California. Chris later became the American Driver for Signal Auto. He drove the RX7 from 00-03 with a rotary engine intitially, then a Nissan SR20DET motor swap.

In 2004 Formula D debuted their national drift series and Chris began competing. After five years of competition, he built a reputation for his high speed precision driving skills, and became a major supporter of the drift community worldwide. He was featured in October 2003 Wired magazine article on drifting, alongside Tony Angelo. He was the only driver to defeat Samuel Hubinette in Formula D 2004 season competition. He placed 2nd at inaugural Formula Drift, Road Atlanta Placed 3rd at Formula Drift, Houston, & placed 3rd in Formula Drift Series Championship for 2004.

In 2005 he started driving the Falken Tire Nissan Silvia (S15) becoming the 1st American to beat a Japanese D1 driver in tandem competition. He placed 5th in first ever D1 Grand Prix US vs. Japan, Irwindale Speedway and 1st Place at Formula Drift, Irwindale. In 2006 he placed 1st at Formula Drift Team Drift, Long Beach and placed 1st at World Drift Series Team Drift Beijing, China. From 2006-present, Chris has driven Nissan 350z Roadster (Z33) with a 420 HP Nissan Titan 5.6L V8.

2007 was a strong year for Chris as he placed 1st at Formula Drift Round 2, Road Atlanta. He was the1st privately owned team to win a Formula Drift Pro Championship event. He placed 1st at Ziptied All Star Team Drift, Willow Springs. He also placed 1st at Formula Drift Team Drift, San Jose. He placed 1st at Formula Drift Round 5, Infineon Raceway. He was a judge of the 2007 Drift Mania Canadian Championship series. He placed 2nd in overall wins for Formula Drift Pro Championship and placed 2nd at formula Drift Round 7, Irwindale Speedway. He won Tires.com Triple Crown Champion and placed 2nd in Formula Drift Series Championship.

During 2008 he placed 1st at Formula Drift Round 1, Long Beach Grand Prix and placed 1st at Formula Drift Team Drift, Long Beach Grand Prix. Chris placed 1st in Formula Drift Team Drift Championship with Drift Alliance. He was also nominated Team Owner of the Year. He placed 5th in Formula Drift Series Championship and placed 6th in Formula Drift World Finals.

From 2009 tio present he has qualified 1st at Formula Drift Round 1, Long Beach Grand Prix, placed 1st at Formula Drift Team Drift, Long Beach Grand Prix, placed 1st at Formula Drift Round 2, Road Atlanta and is currently 2nd most winningest driver in Formula Drift history.

Hes a really cool dude! I talked to him at Hot Import Nights at Englishtown and he was happy to show my friends and I the car and pop the hood. He did a little demo there, which was absolutely insane considering the small track he was working with (not the same track they did the Formula D competition on last year, this was a small thing set up in the parking lot with cones). Sam Hubinette is a pretty chill guy as well. Unfortunately didn't get the chance to talk to Rhys at all =/
