Over the past forty years there has been a Corolla sold, somewhere in the world, every 40 seconds. Over 30 million Corollas had been sold as of 1997. The Corolla is best selling as a NAMEPLATE, seeing as there have been many redesigns. The Beetle is the best selling DESIGN, if that makes any sense.
