first of all, I went down to see the V6 yesterday and I was surprised to see that it wasn't sporting brembos, but rather the cheap small silver brake set-up. Secondly, I think I'd prefer dimpled rather than drilled, just as the added stress measure.

^^ Only the cars with the track package will be getting brembos. You probably saw a grand touring. Also, judging by the gap between the caliper and the inside of the 19" rim, I'm positive a 17" will fit. Which is good considering how much more expensive 18" snow tires are as compared to 17's.

You could always put ina good set of slotted( i prefer them) in place of the factory rotors....not that expensive and should take care of the slight fade issue. Sut up with some Motul brake fluid and i'd say the brake are done.

as far a s suspesnion i would think lowering springs would be enough......for the track edition.

then concentrae fully on the motor.....this car needs 350 rwhp to be viable whether its a V6 or 2.0

i'm wondering were the mods are for the V6....or are people gonna concentrate on the 2.0 only. At 306./v6.....the usual NA mods should bring it up abit + a good tune.....with that power reduction BS tuned out.....3 seconds of power reduction ..no wonder it lost tto the G37....i think it can beat the G37 with the power reduction only tuned out.

That aint bad I'm looking for an intermediate car.....a light 350 -380 rwhp Genesis....

A street terror for the 370Z.......as i know i few nissan drivers who think the genesis is ugly and slow and a non quality car. basically a osmic joke that it could hold a candle to the legacy of the Z cars

My Z is an 07 and its an American Z, for the record

I have a point to prove. and i will do it....with out extensive mods......thats the caveat.

Zpilot welcome to the site, take a second to say hi in the Member Intros some time and tell us a little bit about yourself... I agree with you on many points except I don't think this car will need 350ish HP to be "viable".. that term is kind of vague in my opinion but for what i personally will be using the car for, even 250 whp or 300whp would be plenty (for me)... It would be a high 13 second car and be able to handle as good as many of the other cars in its class... and one could probably get to that power level relatively inexpensively..

I hope you do go out and prove your point on this car and show your Z buddies that the Genesis Coupe is the real deal.. I look forward to your progress :)

Well i have a couple a heavy GTO that need in the upper 400,'s 500+ rwhp
and then my Z.....o6 its in the mid 500 as well. rw

So Viable ...was vague i think i need "more power" but i was kicking butts with a 400 whp 3076 Srt4......its all about the weight, weight transfer( rwd) and a tight suspension.

I've only read that the track 2.0t r will be under 3300 i hope so. hence my 350 need.

true enough the 280- 300 rwhp will/should put the car in the 13's.....and i'm only looking for 13 flat 12.9.....with good roll on power.

thanks for the welcome i go to that site and give a littel backgroung.

I'm meaning to rid myself of all my GM's for this Genesis and put some money back in my pocket.

Oh i disagree with you handling estimation. I beleive it will Outandle...in practical terms most of its competition...though i test drove the 370z sport....and its the real deal in the handling deptmartment.....My Zo6 isn't stock.....and i thought the 370z handled very close.to the Zo6. In a practical city sense, So if that was the Genesis target....even if it 9/10th it s great.

ok i'll go. later and thanks.

It handles well with the track package, but could use improvement. Too much understeer at the limit with not enough rotation. Needs some serious camber in the front with a large rear sway bar.
