Factory track suspensinon & Brembos or after market?

I was planning on getting the track pkg so I could ignore the suspension & brakes while I build the motor up to my liking. The factiory 19" wheels look pretty good, so I was also planning on leaving them alone for a while as well. I was wondering how many others will probably leave the factory brakes & susp set up as is. If you are planning replacing the factory stuff, I was curious as to what set up you are thinking of going with. I understand that most after market parts are not availablle yet, but I would imagine that you at least have an idea of the direction & possible manufacturers that you're interested in.

I love the brembos on my evo so for me I would just keep those and depending on how stiff the suspension is, I would leave that. More than likely I will drop the 19s for something smaller
I'll be sticking with the stock susp. and brakes for a while and focus on the motor/tranny. Rims will probably come early just to make it unique and maybe widen the tires.
I was thinking the same thing, get the Track version and call it good (for now anyways). But on the other hand just the way the economy is I may just get the base 2.0T with the 18s. With the aftermarket crowd already showing such a huge interest in the car I can see that suspension and brake pieces becoming available in a short time and possibly cheaper than what you could get a Track version for. Just speculation but something I have been thinking about.

Im opting for the track setup as well.

I would like to know if 19's are REQUIRED or if thats what Hyundai is just offering for an "upgrade". Do any of you know?

Either way they are getting replaced with VOLKS shortly after I receive the car. :)
Either Korea's Noe Techs or DG-5's can't decide yet.........for suspension, and Volk LE37Ts and brembos are fine!! as for tires Falken Azenis RT-615s!
Hyundai claims the 19s are needed to clear the bigger Brembo brake set up, but I'm sure U can find a set 18" after markets that will clear those brakes. I know Hyundai isn't installing a "Big brake" set up w/floating rotors from the factory, so after market 18s w/the right offset should work, even if factory 18s will not. When I switch wheels, I will probably drop down to a lightweight 18" race wheel to save weight.

Anyways, the 19s are supposed to be part of the track & R-Spec packages, so you may end up w/them anyway, But, since they look pretty good, I'm sure there will be people that bought the lower trim levels that couldn't afford them but want them. Therfore, selling them on one of the forums or on ebay should not be a problem.

Yeah they will definitely be getting sold either way.

Ive already talked with VOLK about my new wheels. :)
Jrod, which Volks are you going with & what color. Also, did you finally decide on a white or gray GenCoupe.
I've decided on keeping my 19"s for DD, but purchasing the lightweight after markets for WW race days etc.
Wheels are further down the line along w/upgraded suspension for me. I've got get all my CF & go-fast parts 1st.

Im going dark gray for certain.

Im REALLY looking into the TE37's in Matte Black. We'll see when the time comes. Also considering Advans but leaning more toward VOLK this time around.

Good choice, that Norda whatcha ma call it gray kicks the shit out of the white.

Didn't see the matte black option on the TE37's, but they are tight.

I already talked to my VOLK rep and he said the matte black is a "custom" color so it adds to the price a bit but they are available. :)
all sounds really great. I'm thinking about swapping beack to the 18's (if it clears). I dont think I'll sell the 19's, but hold on to them just in case I change my mind about them latter on down the road.
Nice choice in wheels Jrod, I have a black set of 15x7 43mm offset Volk TE37s for my 1G :)

I'm curious to see offset and wheel sizes for the genesis to. I'm thinking 17s are large enough 17x8 front 17x9.5 on the rear.

Dude, I've seen pics of that gray one w/the white wheels & it is going off, but white is so hard to keep clean. Which I guess is why you're going with the matte black.

I'm thinking of going with Hyper black, but that's what I'm going with for my 2nd set of bimmer wheel. Here's a pic of them.
& a pic of them on a
so I may have to go with Hyper silver on the GenCoupe.

From what I've seen a +25/+30 is flush on these cars. DO NOT expect 17s to look good though, my car came stock with 16s and 17s just barely look okay. I'd say for track 18s would be the smallest thing you'd want to run and for street a 19 is probably the best fit for the wheel wells. I want to see one of these cars with the 350z rays 18" track rims to get an idea of fitment. When cars come with 18s stock 17s shouldnt even cross your mind as an option IMO

+1....I'm keeping the 19"s that come on the track/R-Spec & will run them for a while, but eventually I will be getting a set of light weight 3pc 18" forged wheels. I will not sell the factory 19"s though.

Im going with a staggered offset setup. I do not like the "flush" look especially on a RWD car.

I have the wheels I want in mind but Im choosing to not say anything until I buy them though and put them on. I probably wont actually buy wheels until April when I plan on driving the car on the street when the weather starts to clear up.
im not worried about wheels at all, the stocker track wheels are sick, so are the brakes. exhaust, fmic, and grill delete are the first things that have to take place after it gets the anti-ticket goodies transferred from the rustang.

i am waiting on the aftermarket to produce proven parts and suspension pieces should take a bit longer than the other stuff thati want sooner anyhow.
