I apologize for the short notice of this. I'm part of Hyundai's Think Tank program. Tonight we will be having a live chat session with Michael Deitz, Product Manager of the Genesis Sedan. If you guys have anything you'd like me to voice to the Hyundai Team let me know. It could be anything, suggestions, improvements, opinions, etc. Again sorry for the late notice on this.

Yeah Tell them I want to be invited to the think tank also.:)
I'll see what I can do!
Let us know how it goes. Make sure you throw in your pricing recommnedations!!! I like where you are at on those estimates!!!
This is mainly a Genesis Sedan session tonight but I will try and put a plug in for some pricing! We just started the chat sessions. I'll try to update as soon as it is over.

I have an improvement they could make to the sedan. Tell them the bluetooth software needs to be able to automatically import contacts. They have this fantastic beautiful car, and crappy bluetooth software that makes you have to manually enter your contacts one by one. Somebody seriously fell down on the job on that one.

Also add the cooling feature to the passenger seat. That was also a bad way to save money.

I am mentioning this now.

What about a 5/6 speed version of the V8 sedan, with Brembos...
:)
I have relayed your comments. It would be nice to get a performance version, something to compete with the likes of BMW and Cadillac more.

Recap

Well we had a very good session tonight. I told them many were having issues with the Bluetooth, having to manually enter contacts. He is VERY aware of this issue, he said it has been a major pet peeve of his and he's trying to get it fixed. As far as suspension, they are also aware that there is a more performance oriented group who are interested in this car and they are looking into some handling enhancements in the future. They are also actively looking into AWD. I mentioned that many people would buy the Genesis if only it came with AWD as an option.

Other things that were discussed was possible upcoming featuers, things like active radar cruise control, power foldiing mirrors, heated/cooled seats for passengers, more sportier transmission "feel", auto roll up/down windows for all windows, fold down rear seats with trunk access, making sunroof as option in all cars.

We also talked about what people did or didn't like about the car. Some didn't like the Nav on the car, some wanted to be able to not have it as an option. Some didn't like the wheels, suspension and ride of the car. Some thought it was too soft. I mentioned I thought the Hyundai logo needs to be used in the grill somehow, to let other people know about the car. I reasoned that when you remove the Hyundai logo it somewhat portrays that you are ashamed of the brand, when in fact people should be just as proud of the car as any other.

Oh yeah they did mention that later this year, black on black leather interior will be available. :)

Well that's what I can remember so far. Like I said it was a positive session and hopefully they will be able to use some of the comments and suggestions to make the Genesis Sedan an even better car. Thank to everyone who provided some input and I will try in the future to provide more notice.

Thanks,
Henry

I'm sure you covered it, but one of the biggest concerns is the ride over uneven terrain w/bumps, vehicle has a tendency not to track well & is bone jarring for passengers. IMO The suspension needs to be tuned/adjusted for better dampning.

Yes this was mentioned by another member, that there is a suspension issue that some are not comfortable with under certain driving conditions. They are going to be taking all of this info into account when they make design fixes or changes.
