More marketing push by Hyundai to get the Genesis Sedan out there. Now they will be partnering with the TNT TV Network and highlighting the Genesis Sedan on the show "Leverage" and also in an interactive game. Read more below:

Hyundai Partners with TNT To 'Leverage' Genesis Sedan

Nov 26, 2008
-By Becky Ebenkamp

The Hyundai Genesis luxury sedan's high-tech bells and whistles will be featured throughout the 13-week run of Turner Network Television's new original show Leverage. Billed as a high-octane adventure starring Timothy Hutton as Nate Ford, a modern-day Robin Hood avenging the little guy, the premiere episode will be presented by Hyundai commercial-free.

In the season-long "Get Ready to Get Even" interactive game, the audience will be asked to help solve a mystery and find $100,000 that was stashed in the trunk of a Hyundai Genesis after a heist goes wrong.

Each week, players prove themselves to Hutton's team by going to the Leverage HQ to complete a mission and uncover a new clue. To help them solve the mystery, there will be hints in the show's episodes, in spots that air on TNT, in print, at Web site LeverageHQ.com and other media that integrates the Genesis. Lead Dog Marketing Group, New York, devised the game.

"They'll go to the Leverage headquarters [Web site] where they'll learn about the assignment and the characters' special skills," said Katherine Johnson, svp, Turner Entertainment Promotions and Marketing. "It's all about engaging people with the show and the characters."

Sponsors Hewlett-Packard and DirecTV will be integrated into episodes as well. One of Hutton's Leverage team members will use one of HP's latest laptops, while Direct TV, in a deal with its agency Deutsch, New York, will highlight its sports package in high definition.

For the Genesis, which will be featured on at least five episodes, it'll be all about highlighting the high-tech features such as the GPS navigation system and an auxiliary port for mp3 player use. "It's an aspirational vehicle and that really comes across on the show," Johnson said. Sponsor brands will also be featured within weekly series tune-ins and on-air billboard messaging entering commercial breaks.

Before I click the subject, I thought it was related to TNT Express.

Well, I am sure Hyundai and some other companies will take good opportunity of difficult Big 3 car manufacturer's condition.

With proper direction, Hyundai may become 3rd largest auto maker in the world?

Is Hyundai 6th or 7th place?

Hyundai is the 5th largest auto manufacture and even though their sales are down they're not hurting as bad as the Big 3. Should be interesting to see what happens in the next few years.

You know my saying, the more publicity, the more sales, the more Hyundai will invest in the Genesis lineup, & the more we the Genesis consumers will reap.

I agree Tufast. The more exposure the better. I just finished watching the 24 premier and they had a couple of Hyundai vehicles being used in the show and a few commercials. I'm just hoping that people will let go of their pride and admit that Hyundai is building some damn good cars right now. I hate how people roll their eyes when I mention I'm going to buy one next year.

I admit the Genesis coupe is a nice car, but I still love my BMW. I Wouldn't roll my eyes at someone that had a genesis.
I'm with you, but I guess that's because I've had the privaledge to work around these vehicles for years giving me the opportunity to see the quality of recent. I won't mind a bit parking my Hyundai right next to my bimmer & they had better get along.;)

probably drive the GenCoupe more initially since I will have been driving the bimmer about 5yrs. After all mods though, that might change, since it will not be as civil as the BMW.:bump:

^^^ That's what I've always liked about BMWs, they are very nice comfortable rides, but when you want to they are great handling and performing vehicles. I'm glad Hyundai choose the M3 as a yard stick when they were working on the suspension and chassis rigidity for the Genesis Coupe.
Ditto x2.............
