Well a couple of the Genesisforums.org staffers (Lord Calvert and myself) will be going to Las Vegas to cover the SEMA trade show from November 4th – 7th.. This trip will be to mainly cover Hyundai and Hyundai show cars but also as much of the show as possible. We will try to provide as many details of this trip and update the site with lots of pictures and try to get some interviews as well.

We’re also hoping to generate as much buzz for the Hyundai Genesis cars as possible so another one of our goals will be to spread the news to some of the other aftermarket companies about these cars.

Our first report should be sometime on Monday when we fly in. We will try to get there early and get situated… from there we will be doing some pre-scouting of the SEMA show and the strip in general. Later on Monday night we will be attending a special Hyundai sponsored dinner and get to do a meet and greet with some of the Hyundai executives and the people responsible for the show cars. It should be a very exciting trip for us and hopefully we can get some new detail about the Hyundai cars.

Also if any of you have suggestions, questions or comments let us know. Do you guys have any questions you'd like us to ask the Hyundai execs or the Hyundai Tuners? This is our first time to the SEMA show so any suggestions will be welcomed.

Only 2 big questions for Hyundai: 1) please bring the light weight track edition & when? 2)when do we get direct injection? Other than that confirm that the engines & esp trannys will hold up to our mods & the computer is tuner friendly.
As for after market companies, remind them not to forget about the 6cyl, I think alot of people may be suprised by how many end up getting modified.

Great questiosn Tufast. I'll try to get you the answers. We are planning on doing this every year. The show is huge, some estimates about 18 miles of exhibits and vendors. I know my little feet are gonna be hurting.

Exactly, I plan on throwing alot into my 3.8 SE. And it would be nice if they did a track version with the 3.8 as well as the i4, not sure if that's the plan or not. I'd also like to know about the direct injection.

How about asking why not a larger engine in the turbo model? Why go with 2.0 versus 2.4 like in the SRT-4's? With this car weighing over 3300 lbs, i would think bigger would help.

Monday Agenda

So we're flying in on Monday morning and then attending a SEMA luncheon/press conference. Then later in the night a Hyundai sponsored media dinner to do the meet and greet. There's so much to do it's hard to plan for this trip.
