I like #2 but done with the lettering in #1 and the color of Makato. Also, I would change one of the pictures to include a rear 3/4 view, and swap out the gray car for a custom one off the BK site. Also, change the slogan to the Premiere Site, I always liked that.

+1...........#2 FTW ATW...but with lettering in #1 like dboz said. This will keep it consistant to what folks are used to seeing OR I'd like the Genesis lettering in white as is, but below Forums.org will need to be in black in order to stand out in that orange.

The colors of orange, white, & black stick with our original layout, so as not to confuse too many people. Don't want folks thinking this is a new site & genesisforums.org disappeared. So, IMO the blue RMR looking site & the red background won't work, although I think both look marvelous.

I also agree that the last car in #2 (the gray one) needs to be swapped with a sedan to let people know we cater to both Genesis cars. Preferrably one of the good looking sedans from SEMA. And, maybe try to get a rear 3/4 of one of the coupes in there like deboz mentioned.

If it has to change then I'm leaning towards makoto's design. I like the layout and the lettering since it seems to have been taken directly from the Genesis font. I would like to see at least one shot of the sedan in there since this is not just a coupe forum like in #1. I also like dboz's idea of a rear 3/4 shot and the original slogan. And throw a flying H in the background somewhere like in the first one.

Ya'll probably don't know, but I'm gussing all of these designs are Makos. I agree with a SEMA sedan shot & a flying H in the background would be nice.

it is the genesis logo, thats. i have the font for our actual logo and can change it.

also, i have about a decade of web design experience so if anyone can give accurate criticism to my designs to make them better i can implement those changes to perfect the design. these were all preliminary graphics made purely from my own free time with no input from anyone else.

with input from other people we can get it perfect.

You suck, all these designs suck & need to be trashed. Come up with something original, otherwise just give up. JKG...

That should definately be the sedan pick IMO -- the white dub edition, not the boring one below it..

If you need a dark background we can see about finding more pics of the DUB cars.

I think I'm with a few other voices here: I like #2, because it's clean, but definitely need to give some more face time to the Sedan. The white on orange is hard to read however, so Makoto's red one could be an excellent choice.

I'd happily volunteer the rear 3/4 view, dic51, that I have in my avatar. Obviously, I won't be offended if you DON'T want that pic, either.

I like the shot you got of your car 3/4 rear & of course I love the blue, but think the back ground is a little too dark IMO & it needs the 19" wheels something fierce.

honestly, from a design standpoint it just isn't as professional or pretty but i'll do it.

Don't bother, I like the other better just as it is.


I'm done with my critique, but sure would like to hear from the rest of you. What I say is not what goes, it's only one mind of many that make up this community, so majority wins.

Speak up guys/gals, because you have got to look at this on a regular basis too...If you are really keen on the red or the blue, express yourself....

The one CrookedH has in his post looks better Mako than that last one you posted. Swap the last GenSedan pic for that white DUB's car dic51 posted & drop the Hyundai emblem (swooshed H) in the dead area between the GenesisForums.org & car pics & we have a winner as far as I'm concerned. But I'm just one member.

I do like the DUB car in the pics for sure.

Not too light tho. Hard on the eyes for extended periods

I agree, not too light like white, just a lighter shade of gray if one is available.

i need a better pic for the sedan on the end. something with a dark background.

I like this one best if the last sedan pic was lighter, say maybe of the white DUB edition & add a gray Hyundai logo in that blank space between the GenesisForums.org & the pics.

I think the metallic/grid background is cool and unique. Industrial. Keep that, you barely see it once you are surfing!!!!!!
Also, I agree the shiny crooked H is way too corporate and not unique enough for the site.

But a gray airbrushed H in the blank area between the title & the pics would work..:dunno:

Yeah, I'm tired of the industrial metal background too, but what too replace with :dunno: I don't care for a plain background though.
I would like to keep the orange with gray theme. It reminds me of the concept unveiling.

The Genesis sedan is a great car, but how many people on these boards actually own one or are interested in getting one? Personally, I think the sedan and coupe should have their own dedicated sites/sections. The coupe and sedan really have very little in common and target different drivers.

The Genesis is a great car, but it & the coupe share the same basic "skeleton" (layout) of F/R, 5pt multi out back, & many common parts. They do have their own dedicated section within this site. I know this forum has much more of a coupe following, but there are very knowledgeable people on board that could help anyone that is interested in purchasing a sedan or has question regarding a sedan. They would normally target 2 different audiences, but me & my brother prove that they sometimes target the same group. If we could afford to have both, we would.

I think most people were leaning towards this one from what I can tell from all the posts, but not everyone is going to agree completely. I do know this one is my fav though if you could just replace that dark pic of the sedan with the Dubb black or white car that has a lighter background so that we can be see it better, plus the Dubb cars just look sick. It would also be nice to see the MODE Racing car placed in lieu of that blue one since we sponsor them as well as RMR
