So, Saturday was the CUSA/SLC Productions Ottawa Show'n'Shine.

Good turn out, unfortunate, and fairly terrible organization, but we also scored a killer spring day (sunny, some cloud cover, and 11oC), and a ton of car's came out. From our side, we saw rray200, PWNED088, ManOnFire, and of course, FatFlyGuy. Sadly, on top of that, PWNED088 didn't show up in time to enter his car, and rray200's is still in the shop after being rear-ended last week, so there were only three of the OGC there, and one other grey, 3.8 base, which was still sitting on steelies from the winter.

After the parking lot was invaded by tow-trucks, the lot opened up, and started really filling up with cars: good spread from all over Ontario and Quebec.

I know, enough exposition. Pictures. Also, if you want to skip scrolling through and go page by page, feel free to hit the set on my flickr account 2011-04-02 CUSA/SLC Productions Show - a set on Flickr]

Thanks man!

Yeah, it was overcast, on and off, but honestly I prefer that: I actually use a two-stop graduated filter on most shots to darken the sky and keep the cars well lit: gives a good feel, and I think works really well.

The 69 Mustang, Paxton Shelby 'stang, Toyota MR2 and Subie were definitely show favorites for me. The Skyline is actually a friend of FatFlyGuy's, drove up with him and his Gen Coupe, and is making 635whp. Totally sick car and just whines and burbles at idle.

Amazing photography (as usual ;)) boozy. I like the MR2, Skyline and Scoobies too :) The RX7 was pretty sick as welll. Nice shots of some wicked engine bays. Looks like a good time.

Altho the car isn't terribly impressive,
I love the shot of the R/T ↓

Again, the car isn't my taste but nice shot. Looks cool with the smoke ↑

I haven't been sp;ending any time behind the camera lately. Ima hafta change that. Keep up the good work.

Yup, and that's the thing right? You shoot whats there, and see what's interesting. There were a bunch of us around the windows there, and I was setting up a rear-three-quarter shot when I saw the reflection. So, took it. It's not a GREAT shot, but it's interesting.

One of the things I kept talking to people about was whether you like the particular 'thing' or not (Donk's, classics, hotrods, tuners, muscle, etc) we are actually all the same community. There wasn't a lot of basing other people's style, just because it wasn't the same scene, but there was a bit.

Of course, I was expecting a full-on tuner/import scene, and it really wasn't.

And yeah man! Get the camera workin' again!
