I like the excitement seeing cars from SEMA and many developments from Korea.

As I try to talk about more, I get little depress not able to get one here in USA too soon.

My 350Z I left in Korea about to be sold and I really need to buy something here.

Was consider getting used Z again, since I got too many related parts to put on the car.....but, hope not to go
paying registeration fees again after couple months later for trade in.

I have race civic....no air con, heater, clutch rattle, engine whining noise....not able to drive due to high risk with temporary tires all around.

Hyundai Motor America? Please give me good news!

Should I call Philip Hyundai Motor Korea royal family to send me one? :aargh:

PowerAxel I feel your pain but you must be really itching to get a car and put some of your aftermarket parts on. From all indications I am hearing the Coupe will not be released until the Spring of '09. They are doing testing on the car for the US market and this will take some time.

PowerAXLE I feel for you bro, my brother is in the same boat. He needs his car right now & don't want to purchase a temporary vehicle in the mean time. Although, my mom was kind of enough to allow him to rent her Grand Cherokee for $50/mo for as long as he needs it since she hardly ever drives it. Man I'm glad I don't need to rush, although it's still going to be hard holding out. Just have to see how good my will power is.

Hey And2Legend welcome to the forums. I've always liked the Jettas and know a few people who own them. Have you watched any of the SCCA Jetta TDI Cup on Speed?. It's pretty fun to see these potentially upcoming drivers race around on turbocharged diesel engines. The GTI's are nice too but I want RWD. If you can hold out until Spring '09 and get to see the Genesis Coupe I think you'll see it will be worth the wait.

I'm going to also have to fall into the same boat as poweraxel and the others. Wanting a new car but not wanting to wait until the gencoupe is released. Although i leave Jan 1st for Iraq i plan on making my purchase as soon as it comes out, pay off the car while i'm there and have a set of fresh suspension, wheel/tires to come back home to. Then once i get settled in the fun will start i'm sure.

I feel like it will be welll worth the wait and by the spring, there will be so many aftermarket parts available and tested! I want my gen coupe to be 400 whp by the second month I have it!

I'd like to see the results of power made on stock block and decide on a route to take the car 400whp in a daily driver is fun in an AWD car. I will also be planning on showing this off at car shows with my buddies vinyl graphics business (redlinedesign.tv check him out).

Sounds like a good plan with the car shows. Have your buddy sign up on the site and he can become a site vendor/sponsor. Right now sponsorships/vendor spots are free for a year. We're also wanting to do some site decals, maybe he can hook us up.

i have a friend who tests cars for hyundai at some fake city they have out in the desert... they're doing daily driving tests and reliability tests atm. still, hyundai hasn't told them anything regarding a potential release date

Yeah my understanding that the coupe is going through some heating/cooling, suspension and drivetrain testing right now and according to my source at Hyundai the Coupe is on schedule for a Spring '09 release. I'm guessing towards the end of March or begining of April as the press event will be right around the last week of March.
