STS unveiled a 750HP twin turbo Corvette at the SEMA show. Now we've all seen turbo Corvettes before but what was different about this STS Corvette was the ability to get 36 MPG! Now I know what you are thinking, they only got 36 MPG by driving slowly and conservatively but alas this achieved at one of the contests that SEMA conducts using a combination of aggressive driving, acceleration and braking tests. Needless to say STS won the Award. Talk about the best of both worlds right? There will be only 50 of these Corvettes built for next year.

While this press conference was going on there was an old guy in a scooter who wanted to get through the aisle but was blocked because duh the press conference was going on. He was telling people to move and that these aisles are made to walk in. Just being rude! It was funny because it was in the middle of a press conference. He finally made his way through it was funny to watch.

The concept is pretty nice. The colder temp help every aspect of turbo-charging (no down and up pipe, no need for isolating stuff...no heat problem...no cool-down time when parking). However, some say that it might be easy to steal for some real robber. What you guys think ?

It is very possible to steal, but on this car since it sits so low to the ground they'd have to jack it up. Kind of a hassle but anything is possible. You are right about the cooler temps, that is a benefit of having a remote mounted system, and I hear turbo lag is not too bad, just gotta size the turbos right. I'm still impressed with the 36 mpg is was able to get .
