cool vid, but the driver needs to work a little more. Then again, that's only an 1/8 mile track right?
+1.....the driver looks like he left the line late.cool vid, but the driver needs to work a little more. Then again, that's only an 1/8 mile track right?
That has nothing to do with the ET. In drag racing the timer doesnt start until you break the beams at the line.+1.....the driver looks like he left the line late.
I think you may be right...left the traction control on
I was just remarking about how long it took the car to leave the line, not the actual time for the run.Yes its 1/8th mile.

It looked a little small IMO to be a Nomad, Vega wagon maybe....:dunno:LoL wtf was that? A Nomad?
I got ya.I was just remarking about how long it took the car to leave the line, not the actual time for the run.
That's smart. I never thought of it that way.I got ya.
Normally if im doing time trial runs and running a faster car I will sit at the line for a few seconds and let them leave first for that "Just in case" moment that something may go wrong on their end I will have enough time to react and not be part of it. Granted the difference in that race wouldnt have mattered much. lol
I will still normally sit at the line and leave when im ready. Allows for a more focused take off and pass when your head is 100% into it.
ah, so it is like Jrod said, you waited for that monster to take off so you didn't end up dealing with any malfunction on his part. What kind of wagon was that anyway? That is, if you were able to tell.haha that was me at irwindale. I didnt even know i had a video
i was trying to run a stock caliber srt4 but they split us up and lined us up against 7 sec cars. i waited a little, last week a mustang flew across the lines and slammed into the wall. i wish they would seperate certain cars when it came to the strip.
See.... great minds think alike!ah, so it is like Jrod said, you waited for that monster to take off so you didn't end up dealing with any malfunction on his part. What kind of wagon was that anyway? That is, if you were able to tell.
