What can we do to make Genesisforums a better place?

It's all good man, let us know if you do come up with anything, we're all about doing trying to make the site as good as it can be but realize we can't be everything to everyone..

You shouldn't see a bunch of RSS feeds, just a few select ones we find interesting.. trust me we filter out most of the feeds in a private sub-forum.. as far as the "Other Discussion" the impression I got was that most liked to see the other discussions? I agree though what get's most people's juices flowing is what the vendors and tuner's and DIY guys are doing next.. but when the updates from them are a little slow, the other stuff fills in nicely IMO..

We will keep all options on the table though!

If you want to seperate out the RSS feed stuff for easier browsing, like after hitting the "NEW POSTS" button, maybe it would be possible to list the RSS feed stuff with a different font color for the main heading. It would make it easier to skim over for those not interested in those type of posts. For me, I actually do read a lot of the RSS stuff, it often ties in to general car discussions anyways. If the font was red or something indicating it was more news related. Not necessary for me, I think the board/forum is easy to navigate and more than enough pigeon hole categories to easily find what you want, but just a thought. Compare to a site like NASIOC where all cars and models are just lumped into limited categories which is very hard to find stuff and very annoying to scan posts of 2-3 generations of cars, this site is great. Of course all the color may be even more distracting. Can you tell I am typing out loud!!

Its cool to look at some of the stuff but 85% of it falls into my "Who cares" category.

HOW ABOUT A NUMBERS PAGE! listing wieghts times performance mods and anything else we can think of in a spread sheet format for times, then you can click on the user name to see mods n bio's.

I agree, lot's of talk about improvements and this and that but this place's number one affliction is lack of traffic (i.e., membership). It's like a bike path around here where others might be considered a highway.

Its not so much a lack of traffic there are plenty of visitors that come on here just they look and don't post for whatever reason.

+1..........there is alot of visitors, several members & just a few posters :dunno:

If I quit my job & did nothing but gather info to post on this site, I feel it would still not suffice in keeping the site active. Its going to take others contributing, so post your pics, DIYs, adventures, new info, anything......

Yeah if people don't start posting I'm gonna start posting pics of my bmw and talk about bmw's and turn it into a bmw forum.:jester:

I'll have to ban you then and/or call you a bmw owner who really wants to own a Genesis Coupe lol...

Make it harder to get, rather than ruin the game for those who are actually ... I can think of a much better place for an expert Glad then LoD with ...

I would also like to throw in the fact that, as I ask, this would mean that I could handle almost all the work related to the modification and construction of cars by myself, provided I have all the tools in the shed. again, thanks

I would also like to point out that, as I have requested, this means that I will be able to handle most of the work involved in car installation and design if I have all the tools on the shelf. Thanks again
