With all the talk of wheels & colors of wheels, it got me thinking, how many out there will be running after market wheels & I wonder what colors will be most popular...So, I decided to check & see....

My question is what COLOR wheels will you be running on your Genesis? OR will you just leave the stock wheels on as is, which is fine since they are a good looking wheel in their own right.

I personally love the stock track wheels and probably won't be changing them out for quite some time. I am working on some spacers to get them flush with the fender lines at this point and plan to change out the factory rubber but other than that I'm a happy camper. I've considered powercoating/painting the factory wheels a darker gray/dark metallic gray but once again, I'm pretty happy overall with the factory look of the 19" wheels.

I voted gunmetal altho I am most likely not going to change the factory 19's unless the local streets get flooded with them. If I do go to an aftermarket it will most likely be this color.

i have already started looking in to what it will cost me to have the stock rims powder coated.
I'm planning to do that over the winter when i have the winter rims on. I'll run the stock rims next summer and then the year after that pick up some nice aftermarket rims. Those will also be gunmetal, but they will likely have a polished or chrome lip.
If i can afford new rims next year i might do it though. the stock rims are quite heavy. you should be able to trim 20lbs off the car easily, 30 if you drop to 18"s

Stock wheels for the track trim don't need to be changed. Anyone that does is crazy, unless they are ultra-performance minded and want as little weight as possible. The stocks are sexy as hell.

I agree and don't really want to change the wheels. Maybe add spacers to get the wheels flush with the fenders. Now all this may change if I start seeing track versions popping up everywhere. But so far I have only seen 1 in town and that was this morning and it had a Florida tag on it so I don't think it's local. It looks like I'll have some time before I have to consider a wheel change. The first one I have seen just happened to be the exact same as mine...black 3.8 Track...lol

im going to put my Volk SF Challange on my GC once i get off my ass and buy one...
Well, if you your handle name is any indication of what you want, getting off your ass won't do you any good, since the R-Spec is not out yet....But, I do like you choice in wheels. The Volk Challenge is sexy as hell. I was going to get the Volk GTS, but found them to be too heavy. Definately looked good though.

I've decided to give Forgestar F14s a shot. They don't have the reputation Volk has, but are lighter & are just as appealing IMO, although a different look altogether. Plus cost about 1/2 as much.

I'm a new member, long time reader. Just got my 3.8 Track, and was thinking of white wheels for summer. I've seen Tenzo and Volk wheels in white. To complicate matters, I want to put the stock summer tires onto aftermarket rims for summer, and keep the stockers w/ winter/all-season tires. The guy at the local tuning shop seems to think there are few white wheels out there that fit the Coupe bolt pattern and will match the tires I have. Thoughts?

The R-spec rims look good but all my friends drive 300+whp nissans 350z & SR20DET 240s couple of WRXs as well so the lighter is better. I want black or gold Enkie RPF1s but there outragous, thinking I'm gonna end up with the black F14s as well. time will tell just waiting for the R-spec to be released!!!

LOL well, here in the OTT, I met up with a couple or three of the other guys to do a group buy for tint, and I was the only one who DIDN'T have a GT!! WTF??

I'm with you though: I really, really like the stock rims, and that's base/prem and GT. They both look great. That'll be the last thing that I change, I think.
