Ya'll should know what I do by now, but just in case you don't, I'm a lowly svc advisor. With the car industry going down the tubes, it can be a little bit of scarry at times regarding my job. Hopefully if anything ever happens, I can use all the environmental science education I've got.

P.S. sabbasaun, I was thinking that your should move this thread out of the Genesis discussions to the general topic discussions...
I would do it myself, but my thread tools will not let me change an admins thread.LoL

Im a high performance care taker.

I take care of you guys when you want to go fast. :)
Will you treat it like I treat while you have it?

Because, I beat the shit out of my rides & fix what breaks...LoL

By the way, sabba is right, we do have a diverse group & I'm glad we got some paint pros on board too...

Well of course! I could handle that for you. I will beat the living crap out of it to see what breaks and you get to fix it. How could I pass that deal up!

Repair isnt part of treatment. :shifting:
When talking about the animate repair is treatment. For instance, when humans go in for treatment, that is exactly what is getting done, repair of the human anatomy. But, if you're not gonna repair it, I'll be doing my own breaking, thank you. I'm pretty good at it..

Hyundai Parts Specialist :rolleye:

Work in the Parts Dept. at a Hyundai dealership, will be three years in May. I am very enthusiastic about my job. I have always loved everything automotive, and this puts me right in the thick of it where I can have full access to all of the inner workings of parts and service. That plus the fact that I have unlimited access to all of the brand new cars when they come in. I get to see them before the sales guys do. :bigthumb:

I have so many numbers in my head... Even I'm amazed at some of the stuff I can remember. Given a random part number, I can usually tell you what system of the vehicle the part goes to and what vehicle, including year range (most of the time anyway). Some see it as a gift, I see it as a curse... lol. Even so, I still learn something new every day.

Apparently it's working to my advantage though because I have survived two rounds of layoffs. The first time they got rid of the Parts Manager and combined the positions of Parts and Service managers. That left just two of us in parts. The second time, which was right before the first of the year, they got rid of the guy I had been working with that had been working in automotive parts for 12+ years, and for this company for a little less than 6 years. Then they hired a very green rookie with no experience in the automotive business and I am currently training him. He's at least got common sense, I can work around any other weaknesses he may have.

Anyway, glad to be here. I have access to lots of info and I am a curious person by nature. I love to look stuff up, and have become the one person in the dealership that everybody comes to when they want to know detailed info about any of our vehicles, or want to know the scoop about upcoming vehicles. So ask away, if I don't know I'll tell you I don't know, but I'll do my best to find out.
DD, I'm right with ya bro...I've been writing svc for about 10yrs now at this dealer & must admit, pretty damn good at it. I've survived 2 rounds of layoffs, but since I'm the only advisor in this store (I insisted when the last guy quit a couple of years ago so I could make a llttle more) I don't see me going anywhere. The owner also has a Honda, Volkswegon, & Chrysler/Jeep dealership in this complex, along w/other stores throughout the southeast. Volkswegon went from 2-1 advisors, Honda & Chrysler down to 3 & may go to 2.

Ooopps, I was on topic about this in another thread. Anyways.

I'm a long-haul, cross-country, truck-driver, and the US Highway is my office.
No problem bro, we know you're just trying to get your post count up..;)

27501 or 27301 is the start of the plug wire string for like 99 my cars right?? I think 27301roo was th opcode for replacement of wires IIRC:dunno:

Any way I started as a Hyundai tech, then service advisor, service manager, sales person, finance manger, and now sales manager of Hyundai and HUGE toyota store. I have followed Hyundai from PA to FL and back through 3 different stores.

My owner laughs at me and says my blood is Hyundai Blue:rofl:
That's pretty cool that you know the workings of the store from front to rear & all perspectives.
