Wow, i'm just surprised how exaggerated some posts are. As a Tuner and Drifter for almost 6 years now, i can say that when you drive a manual tranny car you will always feel the gear motions more then the automatic. And plus those "grinding noises" most likely are time when your timing is not right with the clutch and forces it into the gears.
but then again this is just my opinion and also is based on experience.
Just remember people, don't treat that clutch like it's made for racing, because its not a racing clutch so by doing hard and quick shifting and off timing with clutch release can cause MAJOR problems. If you want to shift harder and quicker, then upgrade your clutch and at least change to a better tranny fluid, Royal Purple is highly recommended (but it will cost you an arm and a leg).
Also, guys, creaking noises will always be there, because look at the cars specs, it's not a luxury sports car even though it's the "Genesis's" Coupe model, and you can't expect it to not have any creaking on the plastic panels. And if you live in an area that always fluctuates between hot and cold weather then these creaking noises will occur.
and a final note, the two models were made for 2 specific things. If you get the 2.0T then that is made for tuning. because of its I4 Theta II engine, the compression and over all tuning is more suitable for modifications and upgrades (therefore that is why they went with the turbo). Because FIY the same engine is used in other high performance tuner cars as well, i.e. the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and Dodge's Prior SRT-4 models, uses the same engine. and yes there is a 2.4 Theta II engine, but they didn't choose this one or others don't choose this one for factory turbo tuning is because the cylinder walls are too thin and it will not hold up on its compression with large amounts of force. in other words, KABOOM! (a little over exaggerated, but you get the idea :rolleye: )
well enough of me, let me know what you think?
